UJJAWALA

SWADHAR GREH
- Scheme by Ministry of Women and Child Development
- It is an institutional framework for women victims of difficult circumstances.
- It envisages shelter, food, clothing and health as well as economic and social security for women victims.
- Provides them with legal aid.
NARI SHAKTHI PURASKAR
- It is given by president of India every year on march 8th (International Women’s Day).
- The Ministry of Women and Child Development announces these national awards for eminent women organisations and institutions.
- The awards are open to individuals and institutions for outstanding work towards empowerment of women.
MAHILA SHAKTI KENDRAS
- Scheme by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- To empower rural women through community participation.
- To create environment in which they realise their full potential.
- MSK we’ll build upon by leveraging available resources of variety of schemes of the government at the district and block level.
NIRBHAYA
- It provides for a non-lapsable corpus fund for safety and security of women to be administered by the Ministry of finance.
- It is overseen by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- The centre gives money to the states which states spend on programs for women’s safety.
- Central Victim Compensation Fund (CVCF) has been funded under the framework of Nirbhaya fund.

PRADHAN MANTRI MATRU VANDANA YOJANA
- By the Ministry of women and child development.
- It is a direct benefit transfer scheme for pregnant women and lactating mothers.
- A cash benefit of Rs.5000 in 3 instalments on fulfilling the respective conditionality like early registration of pregnancy and antenatal check up.
MAHILA E-HAAT
- It is a scheme by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- It is an online marketing platform for Women entrepreneurs.
- Government has promoted platforms such as government e-marketplace managed by National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO
- It aims to address the declining child sex ratio and other issues related to women empowerment.
- To provide the girl child with education and enabling her participation.
- Initiating communication campaigns to promote the development and education of the girl child.
- Challenging the existing gender stereotypes.
POSHAN ABHIYAN
- Launched by Ministry of Women and Child Development.
- Prevent and reduce stunting in children.
- Prevent and reduce under nutrition.
- Reduce the prevalence of anaemia among young children.
- Reduce low birth weight.
